Manoj is a lower middle-class boy who has confidence and is planning to become a successful person and have a good life.
On July 12, 1997, Manoj was born in Jharia village, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, into a destitute family. His mother takes care of the housekeeping, while his father repairs bicycles. Owing to financial constraints, he finished his elementary education at a nearby government school before completing it at ITI Dhanbad. He excelled in academics from the start and never looked back.
Although his father had always wanted him to work for the government, after meeting him, he had other ideas. He joined a telecom business after completing his ITI in order to support his father. After learning about YouTube, he carried on working there and managed to escape his life of poverty.

Manoj used an outdated mobile phone to launch his YouTube career. Using that phone, he created two or three YouTube channels, one of which was Technical Manoj, where his video went viral. After a few days, Technical Manoj’s YouTube channel began to monetize, and revenue began to roll in. But all of a sudden, he was in serious danger, and the monetization of advertising stopped. He, none the less, persisted.
Following this, on November 24, 2016, he launched his second YouTube channel under the name Manoj Dev. Ten months later, after putting in a lot of effort, he was paid for the first time. Then he continued to post videos on a regular basis, and eventually they began to go viral. After reaching 50,000 followers on YouTube in just 18 months, he also launched his own vlog channel, Manoj Dey Vlog.

Jyoti Shree Mahto is the wife of Manoj, and she posts Vlog videos on YouTube. Manoj and Jyoti dated for a period of two to three years. Following a protracted courtship, Manoj left his hometown of Bengaluru to marry Jyoti Shri Mahato in Kolkata on March 6, 2023, in accordance with Bengali tradition.
