On Sunday, Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), was sworn in as a union minister in the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For believing in him, Paswan praised PM Modi.

Following his oath of office as a Union Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration on Sunday, LJP (Ram Vilas) Chief Chirag Paswan declared he will carry out his duties with complete integrity and diligence. For believing in him, Paswan praised PM Modi.

“With this, I bear a great deal of responsibility. I promise to carry out this responsibility with diligence and honesty. The Prime Minister deserves all the credit for this. He awarded a party with just one MP five seats because he had such faith in it. By winning them, I have also given them all five seats,” Chirag Pawan was cited by the news agency ANI.

“The government has prioritized programs pertaining to the welfare of the underprivileged throughout the past ten years. We’ll proceed in that direction to lessen the gap between the rich and the poor as well as between towns and villages,” he continued.

Shiv Chandra Ram of the RJD lost handily to Chirag Paswan in the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat of Bihar, receiving almost 1.70 lakh votes.

In addition to Chirag Paswan, PM Modi appointed seven Bihari MPs to his council of ministers, four of whom were allies. This move is perceived as the BJP’s attempt to level the caste divide ahead of the assembly elections that are scheduled for next year.

According to news agency PTI, Maharashtra, which is scheduled for assembly elections, has a notable presence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new council of ministers, which appears to have the most representation from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Bihar has won four cabinet openings out of a total of eight state minister positions, whereas Uttar Pradesh, which sends the most members to the Lok Sabha—eighty—had nine ministerial berths, including one cabinet.

Chirag paswan a young politicians from LJP party. Born on October 31, 1982, Chirag Kumar Paswan is an Indian politician and former actor who has held positions as the first president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) since 2021, the second president of the party from 2019 to 2021, and a member of the Lok Sabha representing the Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency since 2024. He is son of the Union Minister and Member of Parliament Ram Vilas Paswan.

Early life

In 1983, his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, who was born in Bihar and later served as a Union Minister, married Amritsar-based Punjabi Hindu air hostess Reena Sharma.

Paswan left college in the third semester with a degree in computer engineering. He featured with Kangana Ranaut in the Hindi film Miley Naa Miley Hum (2011) after quitting college.

Political career

In the 2014 elections, Paswan stood for the Lok Janshakti Party, claiming the Jamui seat. He defeated Sudhansu Shekhar Bhaskar of Rashtriya Janata Dal by a margin of more than 85,000 votes. With 528,771 votes overall, Paswan defeated Bhudeo Choudhary, his closest rival, to retain his seat in the 2019 election.

In addition, Paswan is the proprietor of Chirag Ka Rojgar, a non-governmental organization that helps unemployed youth in his state find employment.

While his father was elected by the Lok Janshakti Party from the Hajipur seat, Paswan was elected from the Jamui constituency in Bihar to the 16th Lok Sabha in the 2014 Indian general election.

In the 2014 elections, Paswan stood for the Lok Janshakti Party, claiming the Jamui seat.. He defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal’s closest opponent, Sudhansu Shekhar Bhaskar, by more over 85,000 votes to win the seat. Chirag Paswan created the Bihar First, Bihari First initiative to bring attention to the youth of Bihar ahead of the 2020 Assembly Elections. The goal of the Bihar First, Bihari First campaign is to fully develop the state of Bihar. Paswan went on to say that making Bihar a “number one” State is absolutely necessary.[Reference required]

Paswan stated that it is the responsibility of every member of the underprivileged segment of society to contribute in this way when he gave ₹1.11 lakh on February 27, 2021, for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Chirag’s uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras took over as the LJP’s Lok Sabha leader on June 14, 2021. Chirag expelled five dissident MPs the next day for their anti-party activities, among them his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras and cousin Prince Raj.

He never loss any election till now sins 2014. he was wining candidate for LSP.
